At the end of last year, I posted my goals for this year. Last month, I gave you my first update , and I think it's time for another one!
I have been flying through books this year, and I am loving it! I read the first two Hunger Games books, and I am working on the third one right now. I'm taking my time, because I'm not ready for this love affair with the Hunger Games series to end. I have no idea what I'm going to read after I finish Mockingjay, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
I have been cooking a lot of healthy food this month, and I am loving it. I feel like a different person, my skin and hair looks better, and I secretly love posting pictures of healthy meals on instagram, almost to say "Hey, check me out. I eat healthy food." Wow I'm weird.
Our house is seriously almost to the point to where there is nothing that we can do (within our limitations) to improve this house. Although I'm pleased with how everything is looking, it can be a little frustrating, knowing that I am very limited in what I can do. I never considered myself decor savvy, but Pinterest has sparked so many ideas that I am dying to try, but I can't. At least not while we live in our rent house.
I have been working out a lot more recently thanks to the beautiful weather (long walks + talking to your best friends on the phone = a perfect excuse for exercise) and due to my new favorite app, Nike Training Club. It's free, and it has the most incredible work outs. Each time you complete a work out, it logs into this Nike account, and once you reach a certain goal, you get some pretty cool rewards (recipes, celebrity workouts, etc.). I highly recommend it, no matter how athletic (or non-athletic) you are.
I co-wrote a song with a student for her senior project. So we are getting closer to becoming the next T-Swift, but let's keep it real- it will be a loooong time before I get to that point. But hey, it's PROGRESS!
So pretty much, I seriously need to hop on the Yoga and wedding dress reconstruction bandwagons. But I must say that I'm proud of the fact that I have been working on my goals very diligently, and that I haven't given up on any of them! I guess having readers as accountability partners will do it for ya. :)
Are you having a hard time keeping up with your goals for 2012? What do you do to motivate yourself?
